Collingwood College

Collingwood CU normally meets in college on a Tuesday night, around 7.00pm. We're blessed with such a large CU at Collingwood that we first split up into several 'Impact groups' for an hour; groups of around 7-10 students who firstly work through a passage of scripture together and then pray for each other. Impact groups will either meet in one of the various conference rooms at Collingwood, or in someone's room in college. We then all come together for roughly another 30 mins to an hour for some evangelistic training/ worship/ prayer/ testimonies and lots and lots of banter. We've really got an amazing college CU at Collingwood and would love to see you there this year!

The college reps are Andrew Linton (studying law) and Abi Stewart (studying chemistry). Andrew comes from Sheffield, loves going rock climbing, skydiving, playing guitar and pranking fellow CU members' rooms. He also feels extremely self conscious writing about himself in the third person. Abi Stewart is yet to describe herself in third person.

Collingwood College also has four amazing impact leaders:

  • Tom Bray (second year engineer)
  • Dave Simpson (second year natural scientist)
  • Alex Dibble (third year theologian)
  • Phil Davies (third year classics)

They're trained each week on the Bible passage that we study in Impact, so have some great insight on a Tuesday night.

Collingwood also has two brilliant prayer secretaries: Ben Goldenberg (second year mathmatician) and Emily Woods (second year chemist). They run the weekly college prayer meeting and generally make sure we're constantly focused on prayer in everything we do at Collingwood.

If you've got any questions then please don't hesitate to get in touch with Andrew or Abi, we'd love to hear from you!
